It must be Bush’s fault because we know Barry doesn’t take responsibility for anything.

If only the storm would kill just democrats or just republicans. If only one party had to suffer injuries, loss of property and precious memories…if only one side would suffer so horribly as to make them a non issue in the next election…Wouldn’t that be wonderful? Or maybe we can just let the waves wash the poor and elderly out to sea where tax dollars wouldn’t need to be used to bury them. It would also save them from being locked up in corporate run prisons or killed for believing a woman has a right to make health choices effecting her body, or turned away from a hospital because federal funds are more necessary to support corporations than people. The rich can always afford to escape hurricanes and rising waters. They can afford private security to protect them and keep just enough money in police to make sure there’s a cushion between them and the untouchables at the bottom of our economic food chain.Wouldn’t be nice if our problems would just die and go away? This seems to be the opinion of lots of posters in this forum. It’s not mine. But I’m just a progressive tool of the liberals so…what do I know?with remorse,C.

“Conservatives ruined Halloween? I’m sure it wasn’t conservatives who wrote the legislation “saving” people from themselves.”No, they’re busy writing legislation and campaigning for state constitutional amendments to make sure one specific group of Americans continued to be denied the same rights as everyone else.

I’m surprised Ariail passed on the chance to paint an Obama O in the eye of the hurricane.

Let’s see, Ike, Irene, now Sandy. Climate change models projected fewer, but larger and more destructive hurricanes, and a change in path patterns. What are we seeing? Well, fewer but larger “tropical storms” and hurricanes, and they’re causing MORE flooding and REAL damage, and they’re hitting harder in areas they didn’t affect as much before.

Yup, the deniers are the ones that have it “right”. Which, “right” just equals ignorance, more so every day.

It isn’t just a war on the “liberal elite” being waged by the right just a war on any facts, or intelligence, and much driven by “religious teachings”, otherwise known as myths and ignorance. While some very distinguished scientists DO still speak of their faith, they are wise enough to temper that faith, leaving it to answer for the unknown, rather than using it to ignore, or refuse, the “known”.

Not just the b—-hole comment, but dog dhu as well? But when you don’t have facts, you rely on name calling. ALL laws are meant to “protect us from ourselves”, unfortunately our selves refuse to co-operate.
