That and the fact that HE didn’t go to his staff, the binders were already prepared for either candidate by outside groups.

I dislike Romney as much as the next fellow, but this latching on to one phrase and repeating it ad infinitum thing (etch-a-sketch, you didn’t build that etc.) is annoying and childish when either party does it

The fact is most of us who have our money in 401(K) plans, or in pension funds, have no idea or control over where the money is. These investment groups couch their investments in techno-business babble (all legal of course). Romney, however, is a consummate financial manipulator. He knows where his money goes. His supposed “blind trust” has him invested in one of his sons’ companies. And even though he “resigned” from Bain (retroactively), he is still listed as 51% owner of the group that is sending Illinois jobs overseas. Blind as a bat? NOT!

I think (hope) you’re overinterpreting, but I share your feelings about attacking Romney’s religion. It shouldn’t be an issue. We can attack his policies — there’s lots to attack there — and leave his religion alone.

As a person voting the Democrat ticket this year, this toon is unhelpful. A single binder with the word women on it, and someone asking the Romney caricature if he would have signed the Libby Ledbetter act would have been much more relevant. Who even cares about his boats, houses, and horses as long as he’s paying taxes on them like we do?Respectfully,C.

MItt does have lots of “binders”, and most have a lot of mud on, or in, them. I too see Article Six as a key in American political debate. I have friends who adhere to many different religions, including Mormons, Jews, Roman Catholics, Buddhists, evangelicals, atheists, and agnostics. None have a place in our secular government, but what’s disturbing is how so many who wave the flag of their “faith”, have such low moral character. THAT is why Mitt, and so many who claim such religious “fervor”, strike me as truly dangerous to our nation.

It wasn’t so much that “binders of women” was awkward – we knew what he meant. But that he lied about initiating the effort to hire more women was typical distortion from Mitt. IT WASN’T HIS IDEA. It didn’t come from his staff either and it didn’t last through his whole term as Governor. And no, I don’t think the cartoon has anything to do with his religion, but I agree with dtroutma.

The presidential race has boiled down to this…Romney asks the American people to judge whether Obama has done a good enough job to warrant their vote for another four years…Obama’s campaign is desperately trying to find soundbites they think they can gin up into issues that will take the minds of the American people off his incompetent Administration. With the help of the mainstream media, he thinks this is a winnable strategy. We’ll see!

Incompetent? GM alive.Bin Laden dead. Bush said he never gave Osama much thought. Months of job growth (albeit slowly.) No wars started. Stock market approaching record high. Businesses with record profits (especially those who are threatening their employees if Obama gets re-elected. Lilly Ledbetter act signed. And yes Obamacare!

And it turns out it isn’t true anyway! He didn’t come up with that idea, and Massachusetts didn’t have a strong woman’s force working with the government.

AND, why is it in these days, where men are also being allowed to do what they want, that it is the woman, not the man, who should be allowed to go home and greet the kids and cook? I know several families where the husband is the one who takes care of kids. Men cook, also, and change diapers. Mitt doesn’t have a clue how a family works that doesn’t have maids and gardeners!

Well, after the ignorance he showed tonight, “Richie Mitt” should definitely be in a bind.
