I guess the ‘dumbing down’ of American schools started much earlier that I thought!

“Now we’ll get liberals in here who will claim that Biden is still telling the truth about the sizes of Libya & Syria.”You mean like how Palin supporters changed Wikipedia entries to agree with her misstatements?

You know Michael, it’s really hard for anyone to believe that Ryan will be good for America. Most people have wised up and realized he is good only for the radical rich.

Another Biden lie….that the AMA supported Obamacare..-.today at www.hotair.com …I found an article by Ed Morrissey that commented on the weekend (10/12—14/12) Endorsement by the AMA key policy committee of a Medicare Reform Plan that shares key traits with the ones being promoted by Romney and Ryan.-“..expressing support for giving beneficiaries a choice of plans (with government contribution of a standard amount to buy traditional fee-for-service or another insurance plan approved by Medicare…..PRESERVING TRADITIONAL MEDICARE AS AN OPTION FOR SENIORS.”

Israel, 6.5 million people, Iran 65 million people, blowing up yet another country for a minority makes how much sense? NOBODY should get blown up, but another war is NOT the answer!!

BTW, the current Israeli Ambassador , MIchael Oren, gave up his U.S. citizenship to represent Israel. What about that thing about citizens of the U.S. giving up allegiance to this nation? Even for a naturalized citizen, wouldn’t this represent the “t” word?

Lynne B….I quoted the article as saying AMA’s endorsed plan SHARED KEY TRAITS with the 2nd version of Ryan’s plan.I do not think I said the plans were twin copies!-when the AMA endorsed the ACA, I don’t think they knew how major parts of that mandate would anger doctors and patients. The AMA leadership may be as out of touch with ordinary citizens as the Democtrat leadershp and Obama/Biden are, because they have lost a lot of members in the last few years.-The AMA does recognize Medicare must be reformed.

egads are you numbskulls educated in the “New Math”????Ramirez cartoon compares the land area (geography) of Libya and Syria.-math the old-fashioned way is Syria’s 71,498 sq.mi. divided by Libya’s 679,362 sq.mi. which is 10.5 times larger Libya than Syria.-.Ramirez does not mention “Population”……this explains why you read “news articles” and miss the pointsaltogether!-BIDEN SAID LIBYA WAS 5 times larger than Syria.LIBYA is 10.5 times larger than Syria.

DT: humans, as noted in the ’toon, have brains, and comparative intelligence, and matter more than ’land mass".

Wow is this mean spirited. I’m think Ramirez is doubling as an attack ad writer or maybe a script writer for Fox.

A quick google search says the population of Libya is a little over 3 million. The population of Syria is a little over 22 million. I wonder if Uncle Joe mixed up land mass and population.Just a thought.C.

First off, people DID read – and have read – the bill. Just because you haven’t and Fox News claims no-one has, certainly does not make that the actual case.

Second, if the AMA don’t support it any more, funny how they’ve forgotten to update any of their statements to reflect that. All their statements still support it. Including recent editorials.

Also funny how any professional body which doesn’t support your chosen agenda is automatically unrepresentative or somehow frauds. God forbid they should actually be exactly what they appear to be: the largest professional association of doctors in the US. It’s true that they only claim 15% of US doctors as members; however, it is also true that no other doctors’ association comes anywhere close to that number.

The AMA has its issues, at times, but there is no sense in denying what it is. And it IS a professional body of (last I checked) 31,000+ doctors. And, they are certainly not the only ones in favor of the healthcare reform.

Thank you. If you keep saying this another few thousand times, with your link to the transcript, maybe it might sink in….

Yes, Ramirez claimed that Biden said that Syria was 5x larger than Libya. He did not say that Syria was larger than Libya. He did say, as you point out, exactly the reverse – that Libya is 5x larger than Syria (a mistake in math, but not the lie that Ramirez is posting) and 1/5th the population.

Ramirez has it completely backwards, and his defenders here can’t even admit that much.
