In 1981 I was stationed in Naples while in the USAF.
The instructions sent to me to get from the Rome airport to the facility in Naples included what to do if the airline was on strike, what to do if the railroad was also on strike, when the bus drivers were on strike as well and instructions on what to do if they all were on strike.
