Nice, Val, to be a few steps ahead of your daughters by planting that note. (Methinks the candy’s at Joan’s.)

I think that backfired a bit.

Val probably has the candy stashed at the office.

Yeesh, these girls really aren’t very bright. Mom is the ‘Allowance-Queen’, after all. Duh!

Evidently, the girls(excuse me) young women have never heard the adage(figurative, of course)—‘You are cruisin’ for a bruisin’’. The young women should remember that ‘Mom’ has had many years of experience dealing with them and their antics. She won’t be ‘defeated’ so easily.

Their mom should buy it only on the way home from work, leave it in the car, and hide the key.

The next note should read “You’re grounded!”

The best place to put it is where the girls will never look, like the washing machine or behind the vacuum.

It’s in the trunk of Phil’s squad car (or the saddlebags of his bike)

Ironically, when you’re an adult, you’ll want candy kept away from you.

Do they really think that their mom would put Resse’s Peanut Butter cups under the mattress?

Yup, they’re taking the dare, and I bet they’ll find even MORE notes throughout the house.

Alix “smells a dare.” I smell a piece of misdirection. They are now totally convinced that the candy IS in her room, so I’m guessing it certainly isn’t.

Check under there and might find another note.

OTOH, Val might hide them so well that she forgets where they are (you know the saying: “I’ll put it here and I’ll never forget where they are!”), and then they find the stuff in spring when the ants come marchin’ one-by-one.

I wonder what kind of costumes Holly and Alix will wear.
