Hi Shika and cleo. It won’t miss us, but how much we get is what we are watching. They are calling for 75 to 80 mph winds. Not to mention the rain, and the storm coming from the West to meet it! Plus we have a tree in the backyard REAL close to the house that we have been meaning to have trimmed, notice, meaning to.

Shika whatever you are getting now is not Sandy. It’s just now moving up the Southern coast. I doubt you will get much of Sandy.

Dry, I doubt we’ll get Sandy too. Everyone knows it’s Windy.

Shika back in 1991 there was a storm that hit the east coast, it was called the PERFECT STORM. A book was written about it, a movie was made about it. I remember that storm because my porch roof collapsed! They say this one is worse, hype like the mainstream media, or fact. Time will tell. But I have followed the weather for a lot of years, find it interesting. Looks like this one might be “spot on” and if both the Models they use in predicting these things are correct, it will be a BIG ONE. Of course, on the bright side, our house sits up high, but the road we have to use to get to work, floods in major events, so if I can’t get to work, well, I can’t get to work! The water puddles and I mean puddles in that spot and there is no other way to go to avoid it.

Sandy vs. Dry….the blowhard fight of the century!

Dry, you must get worse weather than we do here. Montreal gets bad storms too, and places east of us in the province. Maybe I just haven’t seen a truly bad storm yet. Living in a low-rise (six floors), I don’t get the effect of the wind as much as a house would.

Shika I hope the tree stays up too, or at least if it’s going down, goes down in the opposite direction. Monday and Tuesday will be the days to watch and see.

No TURD! CLEO is putting in the drain holes, payback I guess for all the wonderful work we have done over the years at his home! Geez. Talk about grateful! I wonder if his Korean Chef neighbor still has his knives sharpened in our honor?
