Why? It’s just a dwarf star, not a planet.

My little sister is also a bit upset about Pluto’s change in classification, mostly because now, the song about the nine planets she learned in school doesn’t fit anymore.

So the scientists have decided that what we were taught isn’t so now. I wonder what will be next?

Is the science that can’t deside if Pluto is a planet or not the same science that tells us that evolution is an established fact?

Good comic. Maria Montessori would approve. Reminds me of her. Her books are great, but books about her methods are sometimes deceitful. Fortunately for us, she did write for us herself, about how she could teach different children so well and keep them happy too.

CaptainColorado: Yep, the more science stays the same the more it changes. Example: Charles Darwin, God bless him, wrote down accurately what he saw, and he did everything right, but now the scientists have discovered that he was 100 percent right and 100 percent wrong all at the same time. :-) He was right that as the environment changed, the characteristics of the creatures changed; but it was not the DNA evolving, it was the EPIGENES changing their characteristics, and they can push DNA characteristics out of sight or into sight. So, the birds and animals and humans continue to have the same DNA, the same genes, from generation to generation, BUT the fluid is changed which surrounds the DNA genes, and the fluid pushes the DNA around. So Darwin, bless his honest heart, was totally correct in what he saw and dared to witness to; but there is no evolution, except in a temporary sense, which can be reversed by the environment changing. Even our thoughts and intentions and preferences are enough of a change to effect the epigenetics of the cells. Whoo-whoo. i LOVE science and i LOVE the living God who created and creates all things, and I LOVE that they AGREE. (BIG SMIRK.) Epigenes, Epigenes, Not so stable as we would think, they give us hope for change to come Upon us even as we blink. . HalleluYAH: Thank you God for EPIGENES
