Ouch! Must have been a REALLY big unavoidable pothole…and yeahhh, it IS worse at the back of the bus (not that it’s a picnic for the driver either LOL)

The caption in the first panel reminds me of a strip (i think by Dave Berg in Mad) that ends, “After all these years of riding the subway, I can’t read a newspaper unless my eyeballs are jiggling.”
