Marcus: My dad was a ballplayer in college. My mom was studying to be a nurse. That's when they met. They weren't looking to be in an interracial relationship, it just kind of happened. My dad left school when he blew out his knee and my mom dropped out to be with him. Times were hard. Their friends didn't approve... their families didn't approve... but they maintained and stayed together. They were committed to each other. Look at them. Did they have to set the bar so high?
