Both activities sound rather creepy to me.
As my editor notes, the character Del used to be a woman named Linda, in my mind played by Meryl Streep. However, Del is all man now. Well, except maybe on the weekends.
Eyebrow wax would’ve been funny for a woman, too. A woman owning a golf course is a good idea, actually.
