Actually, just ran into a picture of my grandfather by his coal truck. During the depression he delivered free coal at Christmas to the homes of those who couldn’t afford to pay him. He was actually killed in an accident during one of those deliveries.
We need some people with that spirit, and dedication, today?
DT - Out where I live the kids have to take the bus to school, most of the parents both work, so they drop the kids off a old bus stop, one of the neighbours parks her motor home there and the kids stay in her motor home until the bus shows up. Later she parks there waiting for the school bus, and the kids stay in the motor home until their parents pick them up. Sometime the parents will be late and call her and she takes the kids home.
Monday the school district informed all of the parents that, due to the recession, they are going to charge them $149/month for their kid to ride the bus! Merry Christmas!
Chairman Maobama’s sack never empties - he fills it up from the stockings of families that dare to earn a living rather than suck on the public teat while squirting out more welfare babies and anchor babies.
Actually, the GOP got a fair bit more than coals - much of what they wanted and didn’t want was reflected in the final bill, perhaps to its overall detriment.
I understand that, like the GOP, Mr Obama is rather partial to coal companies, so perhaps the interpretation of the cartoon that first comes to mind is not the most appropriate one….

I love how the conservatives always stick to the facts and figures and never sink to name calling and anger.

A little acadian wisdom;
When Santa gives you coal, make barbecue.

Mr Obama hates coal (read, the coal companies) ? Perhaps signature NoFearPup (himself ? herself ? I suspect «himself») should get a clue :
