Joan’s been busy with the kids, Wally had time to dress while munching cookies. My kids left WAY too much junk food here when they went back to Chicago. I threw out a lot right away, but could not bring myself to toss everything, so I have a little naughty food here and there. I won’t let my weight increase tho’. I’m happy where I am.
vldazzle instead of throwing the goodies away, and I agree even I don’t need a lot, find a women’s shelter or children’s home someplace that would accept them. I don’t think carehomes would be a good place older people no teeth to health problems may not need all that sugar.
Me I broke down and pigged out on chocolate. I will pay dearly but so far I have not lost sleep but I will break out.
You could also check with churches to see if families who don’t have a lot might like them.
By the way I will be turning older in a few short days, which means less oportunity for getting a full time job. I can’t compete with 30’s somethings.
Once packages are opened, I could only offer them to a close friend or family member, and I have no one here who rates that way. I have taken big bags of Halloween candy to an old folks home when I don’t have as many visitors as expected, but those are all individually sealed. They were happy to get those.
I had to finish our Christmas cookies for breakfast yesterday. They were starting to get a little stale. That’s my story, and I’m sticking to it. (At least that’s the reason I gave my wife.)

Check the look on Loni’s face in the last panel. “Did someone say ‘cookies’?”
