Especially if you don’t know how to hold your skis.

I find the lounge the best place to enjoy skiing…great watching, no waits and no broken bones. The heated pool is not bad either.

I’ve walked around in ski boots, and I’ve walked around in snowboarding boots. With or without carrying equipment, the snowboarding boots win hands…er…feet down.

I agree Bill. Walking in ski boots is like trying to lean as far over frontwards as you can without falling over, and then leaning 2 inches farther forward. but that was just my impression of it. I really liked skiing though when I first tried it. I was 19 at the time, was raised in New Orleans where not only was there usually no snow, but also nothing even remotely resembling a hill or mountains. It was hella fun. Haven’t been skiing in a bunch of years now though. Gotta try it again soon.

Throwing myself down the side of a mountain with a couple of barrel slats tied to my feet isn’t an idea that appeals to me. Substituting an oversized popsicle stick for the slats doesn’t make it any more attractive.

It’s actually very pleasant during those moments when you think you’re in control. For some real fun try snow blades. You can go forward or backward on those little guys–I mean on purpose.

I can go backward son a pogostick, and sideways, but not forward. And only for a few bounces.

Odd, I didn’t have any problems walking in ski boots.
