Afghanistan, Iraq, setting up Iran, using Libya, Egypt as an excuse to continue "W"’s “crusade”? (his word) Anyone on the right ever wonder who was under all those bombs we’ve dropped in the last 21 years, since GHB messed up in Iraq the first time? Yep, no reason for them to take “offense”. It’s time for us to just get out, and leave the Middle East for the Middle East to resolve.
Lester’s got this exactly right. Our nation’s enemies took much more “justification” for their grievances from the State Department’s apology than from the preposterously bad film clip produced by an individual. This administration provokes violence by suggesting that it’s understandable and our fault, and then further encourages violence by doing nothing to stop it. I only wish that this was an “unintended consequence” of this president’s foreign policy rather than its likely intent.
@onguard, Apparently you must have heard the so called apology that Romney heard. I guess you didn’t hear the words of the President and the State department. I really love knee jerk reactions from the Republicans. Makes us look so smart.
@TimeWeaver- So you make a cynical remark about something I neither said nor implied and it gives you a warm, wet feeling? If you’ve got nothing to say, feel free to not say it.
