As any soccer mom or dad knows, the sport has been steadily growing in popularity in recent years, especially among young people! Kids will love a comic about one of their favorite sports, and parents will relate to the comic’s ever-supportive band of carpooling, game-attending, ref-scoffing parents. Join this group of pals, parents and coaches in their favorite game: soccer!
Cleats also follows the gang’s adventures in other sports. Playing tennis, baseball, golf, gymnastics, skateboarding and more, the kids and their parents laugh their way through games and practices.

It isn’t the players who deserve a redcard.

Time for team to lose some of their players and fan’s. They won’t be missed. Or they could get their buts kicked by the girls team.

I’m sure that Bill is try to make a point here, that this kind of thing does goes on, but can’t help wondering if this is a bit of an exageration. Obviously both these kids and parents should be kicked out and not allowed to come back.

I’m just waiting for the day that one of these kids pulls something on the son of a cop or even an FBI agent.

Cue the kids, the parents, and/or that one corrupt coach finding themselves in the back of a squad car.

I never felt that the MEGA organizations (Little League, Pop Warner, etc.) were good for the average kid. Games and practice were set for the parents. It is much better if you can get the middle schoolers coaching the primary, the high schoolers coaching the middle. It is a great experience for all ages and parents who wish to live vicariously through the kids will not be able to “hover”.

I’m afraid that a new generation of Sport Jerks is being cultivated. The only cure for it is for officials and coaches to dissuade unsportsmanlike behavior by calling appropriate penalties and benching offending players. If the parents object, tell them to leave and take their sons with them.
I doubt the lesson would take on the offenders but the rest of the team should see that behavior will not be rewarded or accepted.
