    Okay folks, the “King” isn’t exactly a “prince”, but due to tax law changes in the U.S., ALLOWING THEM TO DO THIS!!! he’s one of many, many, like all those good folks like Romney supporting the “cash in the Caymans” campaign. Our ACTUAL tax rates PAID btw, aren’t that great, and are nothing compared to what foreign folks, like west African nations charge our oil companies in taxes over there, but, like all corporate taxes and “expensed” they’re passed on to customers, so what’s the big deal? Oh, RIGHT, it means the CEOs and board folks make more PERSONAL PROFITS, not actual “corporate” income!!

    Burger King is not even an American owned company. Bennett displays his ignorance.

    Bennett said nothing about “ownership”…you (willfully?) misunderstand / misrepresent. Ownership is, in this dialog, irrelevant.

    We need tax reform, but no one has the balls to do it! Everyone should pay something! Flat tax sounds good. Get rid of all the deductions, the earned income tax credit, all that Liberal crap.

    Another example of the left-wing news nerds doing their darndest to not tell the story. The US is the only Country on the face of the Earth that taxes profits made both here and abroad. BK has about 12,000 restaurants, half outside the US.They will still pay taxes on profits— Federal, State, Local and Property taxes— made in the US, just not on profits made elsewhere. (The Left’s answer to this is to increase their taxes.Brilliant.)

    For the record, I’ve increased my BK consumption by 100%, just to counteract liberal fools. Unfortunately this amounts to only one Whopper, because in Obumer’s economy I can’t afford to eat even fast food. It’s my small contribution to the BK “buycott”.

    Cooking at home is cheaper, and luckily I was taught how to cook..In fact, I’m BBQing a LiptonBurger and hotdog as i type. Not among my culinary masterpieces, but it will do. I’m a firm believer that the left’s “meme” that if poor folks didn’t eat “unhealthy” fast food, they’d be starving in the streets. Complete hogwash. It’s not my fault they were never taught how to boil water.

    @NeoconMan

    If I had your liberal mentality, I’d be asking you for a handout.

    Fascinating wordplay going on, here. But I liked Neo’’s summation. Short and pithy, amusingly sarcastic. Didn’t the Bard pen something about brevity?

    “…we’ll get someone in charge that knows how the economy works…”
    .
    It’s how the economy is “worked” that worries me!

    I still think of Canada as the home of “Les Ogres”, at the Molson Centre!

    Well, at least BK will be closer to the source of the “meat” they use to make their “burgers”!
