Saw this about 50 years ago, hasn’t changed much. Those of us who live in the mountains of the west do find it funny, until we realize so many are just as bad, IN DENVER!

Now, now. You try driving on snow (or worse, ice) with no snowplows, no salt, no sand, and no experience.

Cars and snow were not meant for each other, just wait until it melts.

Can’t blame them, no chance to learn it. Took me a while to get proficient as well, and we had pretty good winters in Germany. Once did a full 360° – in a city street! Hope everybody stays safe…

Yeah it is no joke. I moved from LA to Lake Tahoe. I had a 4WD Subaru, but in deep snow before the plows went through you’d get high centered driving where the bigger 4WDs and trucks went. We then got a Ford Bronco. But shortly before I moved to Monterey 3 years later, I hit a patch of black ice, and despite going slow (approaching a stop sign) I ended up doing a 180 in slo-mo. I decided to take a different route, rather than try again.

Funny, I remember my year in Mass. Jan. to Jan. and the shock of a Florida boy trying to survive in it. 10-12 foot drifts that year (1967) and me without snowchains or anything……fun
