No one rowing and only one oar. That tiger is O voters in a few years when there are no workers left to pay for their free ride. Businesses create jobs, O creates dependency & debt.

Override the minority party.

The ’toon is about “bipartisanship” – and the aggressive nature of the GOP meant to thwart cooperation.

.
I, for one, hope this is overly pessimistic – and that the two parties can come together for legislation that improves the lives of Americans. That would, of course, include jobs for the many unemployed.

In the real book, the tiger isn’t tamed so much as worked with for their mutual benefit. It might be nice to think the GOP might work to solve the nation’s problems, but they would rather destroy everything and everyone just to have their way.

I agree, it might be nice to think that. Sadly, that doesn’t make it so.

Turtle-Boy McConnell and the boner have just as much said so, Too!
“Our first priority is to be sure Obama is a one-term president”.
Well, since you failed, I guess it’s time for both of you to be bounced out of Congress!

Yes, the GOP has shown no new ideas that would actually work in the real world. If the Bush tax cuts worked, wouldn’t we have seen evidence for that by now? It would be nice to compromise between two equally valid positions, but to compromise between solid Democratic fact-based ideas and Republican destructive, anti-scientific, anti-math fantasies just means compromising quality in the direction of disaster.

Harry Reid blocks every bill The House sends to the Senate upon orders from Obama, Obama does not want to compromise.

@ARodney
Where is your anger at the Democrats and Obama for extending the Bush Tax Cuts in late December 2010, and Obama wanting to extend them again to avoid the ‘Physical Cliff’?
If you halt the Bush Tax Cuts, then automatic Spending Cuts kick in.

I wasn’t happy about the extension of the Bush cuts, but I am also aware that Obama, being out to destroy America, was reluctant to increase any taxes while the recession, which he of course caused, was still so deep.

Every bill? Even those that don’t contain anti-abortion sections?

Th only thing the GOP knows is to destroy. That’s all.

‘Physical Cliff’ – Oh, God, that’s brilliant!!!

I don’t know the story, but don’t both survive by cooperating with each other?
Republican leaders are ‘offering’ to give on revenue(taxes) if Democrats give on “entitlements.”
Even a progressives, like me, must admit that in waste and fraud alone, many programs are costing taxpayers and communities, too much.
I look forward to seeing the path our leaders take. It would be a good time to contact your representatives and tell them where you think cuts could be made and revenues/fees raised. I’m willing to pay more for certain things if it is justified and is going to make things better.
Respectfully,
& Happy Holidayze
