It’ll go real fast in the right direction, if you just push it off a cliff.

    1opinion said,

    “Yes, it does.”

In 2008, one candidate never condemned Bush, Jr (actually, he didn’t say much of anything, he seemed to be having a very long ‘senior moment’ throughout the campaign); the other said he’d end the wars and close the illegal US prisons for persons arrested with no proof, no evidence, except what was obtained after the US subjected them to ‘enhanced interrogation’ (which, under US law, can NEVER be called ‘torture’).

The one who condemned Bush, Jr and promised to reverse his policies won.

And the only change we’ve seen is a law that everyone must pay the insurance companies whatever they demand for whatever medical care they agree to pay for or go to jail, and he calls this ‘universal health care.’

I think part of the commentary is the idea that the elephants want to return this country to the 20s.

Clay if you’re saying that the party is so controlling that it will force all candidates to look the same…I’m starting to agree with you.

Whether left or right, dem or rep, etc., it always matters who’s driving the vehicle.

A very wise old prof once explained his attitude on voting to me. “I’d rather have a bad man headed in the right direction than a good one headed in the wrong direction.” Nothing is perfect, but it seems to work a good part of the time.

They are going to be in Tampa in 2012 and can drive that car in the Gasparilla Parade!

That car looks like a piece of Sheen!

And yet there are people who are willing to take it for a spin and ask for a ride.

The Republican convention is going to be held in Tampa. I thought it was much earlier, but it is August 27, 2012.

DJG, what does this cartoon or my answer have to do with global warming?

But since you brought it up, you can’t burn billions of years of fossil fuel in one hundred years and not expect any result.
