I think the parents entertain themselves while the little brats are away, thus more brats arrive.
Thank God for cats and dogs.

Good morning, CDers!!
It’s still snowing here (Western Massachusetts) at 7:30 am, and it’s due to stop between noon and 1 pm, but high winds will blow all afternoon (calm now). We got about 20 inches so far, and fortunately, it has remained light and fluffy, so we have no power outage issues so far. Eastern coastal areas were not so lucky. They had heavy, wet snow that caused over 600,000 people to be without power.
our cars in the driveway)
(the end of our driveway and the library across the street)
(one of our back decks)
We’re still under a state of emergency and there is a ban of all traffic except emergency vehicles throughout the state.
Now, all we need is a week of 60° weather and this will be but a dim memory! lol

@Happy, happy, happy!!!
happyathome, who lives very close to the Pacific Ocean, surprised me by beating me to the punch at remarking about you living across the street from a LIBRARY……
for us old coots, that is so cool!
I suppose sometimes that could be a pain with a parking lot across the street from you, and the coolness of it is long since faded away…. but……
that is so cool!
although, happy, I think it’s WAYYY cooler to live where you live, especially on a day like stel ol’ bel and her east coast brethren are going through

@Happy, happy, happy!!!
I go there every so often for books, videos, CDs, tax forms, etc….. It is very handy, not to mention a beautiful old building, inside and out. The war memorials are also located on the library property, so all the parades go right by our house, around the library building, and stop for speeches, music and 21-gun salutes. We have “front row” seats.
And, although the street has a lot of traffic, we really don’t hear it in the house or in the backyard, (and the house is big enough to find “solitude” with no problem) so, actually the library in noisier than home, in my opinion! lol
I think this is another case of "the grass is always greener…), happy : I envy your location so near the ocean! That would indeed be heaven…..
As always, my thoughts are with you, your mom, and your family.
Happy, happy, happy!!!

I get all of my books from the bookmobile that comes and parks at our fire station every Tuesday afternoon. It is a mile from here and it is fun catching up with the neighbors who arrive while I am there.
