Chuck Asay sifts the events of the day through his biblical worldview and tries to persuade readers to see things his way...that rights are given by a higher authority than the governments of men, that mankind is not the ultimate arbiter of truth and that our Constitutional Republic is worth protecting. Chuck believes ideas, not politicians rule the world. He tries to protect ideas which he thinks are good and attacks ideas he thinks bring harm.

This time I am reluctantly forced to agree with Mr. Asay. You would think there are way more important issues to report on. (Not in agreement with the issues presented) However, the worst offender is FOX news. The tours were cancelled because the Secret Service felt they were one of the more expendable duties. Obama didn’t cancel them, a law enforcement agency decided it wasn’t essential for them to play cross guard.

We need to fire the lot of them, the dems and reps., their all a bunch of crooks, we need to find good people to represent us, not these liars and crooks we have in office today.

Fast and Furious and Benghazi were beating us over the head for months. Fort Hood was never going to beat us over the head because it would bring attention to the fact that even on a military base, having a bunch of guns didn’t stop a mass shooting.

The White House tours were cancelled because it was either that or put secret service people on furlough. Enough liberal politicians have been assassinated that I don’t blame them for protecting the president. If the GOP wants tours reinstated, they could do that tomorrow by reversing the spending cuts that caused it. The real scandal is that no one at Fox is talking about the 125,000 families thrown out of emergency housing by the sequester, the veterans denied education benefits, and the other cruelty of this latest GOP assault on America.

-———————————————————How inane!
Ever been on a military base?
Most of the weapons are kept locked away.

You don’t agree with the issues in the strip???? Americans were killed in Benghazi after the Ambassador requested increased security, Americans were killed with weapons that our own “Justice” department sent to drug cartels and Americans were killed by a terrorist at Fort Hood. Just what do you call serious? Your being a liberal I can guarantee that you believe that President Nixon got exactly what he deserved (and NO ONE was killed at Watergate).

Good luck with that. In my “opinion”, any human who thinks that they know better than you how you should live your life is a psychopath. And they’re willing to kill or imprison you to insure that you conform!

The fourth panel could be the dehumanization of Federal Workers.

Actually, Obama said he did cancel them. The Secret Service can’t cancel them, because they aren’t Secret Service tours. They’re WH tours, and the WH has to cancel them. Keep up.

Blah, blah, blah. Carney has admitted that Obama floated the idea first. The Dems were also involved in the plan. The Dems also voted for it. Obama could have made cuts in less important places (A carrier is the worst case of waste in the DOD?). But it’s only the GOP’s fault. The Kool-Aid’s working good for you today.

I thought the Scott Prouty story was the biggest story of the last year.
Without him we would have an idiot flip flopper for President and all of us would be living under overpasses.

Good ol Chuckie, parroting the far right line. Too bad he can’t come up with something original now and then instead of two has-beens and one never-was.

True. On military bases, MPs, SPs, etc., are usually the only armed personnel. Regular soldiers are not usually armed. Even when we went to the field for a training exercise, we were issued M-16s without ammo.
