The one free handout that would do the trick would be a real work permit. that was easier to get then crossing deserts and barb wire.

What about the “welfare” given to the rich in the form of tax cuts and tax loopholes that the rest of us will never get?
What about the megacorporations that not only paid NO taxes but got hundreds of millions or even billions in “refunds” from Uncle Sam? What about the megarich and the megacorporations that have offshore accounts and addresses?

Liberals plug their ears when conservatives comment because they are usually doing it at the top of their lungs thru a megaphone. They figure louder is always right because they can’t hear anyone but themselves.

The rich are doing a lot of hiring- in China, in Taiwan, in any country where they can pay a pittance and pollute to their hearts’ content. They’re glad to take our tax dollars as subsidies but determined not to hire us unless they can do so even more cheaply.
Who’ll buy their products then? Well, there’s always Brazil, or India, or some other up-and-coming economy waiting to be pumped for every spare penny. Why should the rich care about America? They’re above the concept of loyalty to a country, or anything else aside from wealth.

Clark, the reason you don’t get the subsidies that go to say a farm is because you don’t grow any food for the rest of us. Or the oil corporations is because you don’t own any own leases.

Now just go out and buy about 5 oil leases, hire 5 sets of equipment (or lease those too, ,ay be cheaper) then hire 5 crews to drill, and then find the oil (mmmmm sweet crude), get it to the refinery and sell it on the open market.

here are some figures to start you out.

    http://www.eia.gov/pub/oil_gas/natural_gas/data_publications/cost_indices_equipment_production/current/coststudy.html

    http://geology.com/articles/mineral-rights.shtml

So let’s say you get lucky and find oil on one of the properties.

go to your accountant and pay your taxes. Will you instruct him to use form 1040-EZ or are you going to require him to find every single legal way to reduce your liability?

Don’t bother, I know the answer.

There are many ways to cut spending, increase revenue and balance the budget. I agree. REFORM the tax code.

We so often hear the mantra “We are a NATION of immigrants”. And it is true. Had there been laws and a central government formed by “The Nations” when the European invaders arrived way back when instead of a loose collection of tribes that felt the no one could really “own” the land, this country may be totally without Caucasian additions to the gene pool.

But history is what it is (even though people are trying there best to alter the record).

So once the government was formed, the laws instituted and immigration regulated our ancestors arrived in a legal manner filling quotas and waiting until allowed by law to immigrate.

Today, those that were unwilling to follow the laws and entered the country without benefit of legal standing need to do all that is possible to change that status.

If you hard working types want to get it moving, go back to the border and place a stone on the fence.

Obama has done such a great job with Mexicans self deporting. No jobs for them. Of course no jobs for the USA either. And well you know the money Obama spent on advertising how to get on welfare has paid off and they are staying here.
Here is a idea. Instead of the most motivated, hard working Mexicans coming here. Earning money to send home, with no intent to stay here or become citizens. How about we send them back home where they can put their hard work and morals to work cleaning up their own country.
Does it bother anyone else that Mexico has a line item in their budget for “money sent from the USA

It sounds like you should be more angry at the current administration than at rich people.
    .
But when you talk about loyalty to a country, do you always check a label and refuse to buy anything that wasn’t made in America? Are you above the concept of loyalty to our country? It’s the buyer who decides who is going to be rich.

    @HOWGOZIT

So, by your logic, we should welcome rich immigrants, and deport poor people to make our country stronger.
