But at a time when our discourse has become so sharply polarized – at a time when we are far too eager to lay the blame for all that ails the world at the feet of those who think differently than we do – it’s important for us to pause for a moment and make sure that we are talking with each other in a way that heals, not a way that wounds[…]

We should be civil because we want to live up to the example of public servants like John Roll and Gabby Giffords, who knew first and foremost that we are all Americans, and that we can question each other’s ideas without questioning each other’s love of country, and that our task, working together, is to constantly widen the circle of our concern so that we bequeath the American dream to future generations.

    President Obama

    What a freakin’ hypocrite.

Don’t think the people are going to forget the poisonous vitriol that spews forth from Liberals.

^Like all the “complimentary” names/terms for our current President coming from “the right” because they can’t use a certain “politically incorrect” ethnic name for what they’re really wanting to say. “Kenyan” is as close as they still come, often, and repetitively.

In light of Limbaugh and the dittoheads that make up a lot of the “TEA party” current crop, accusing “Liberals” of vitriol is about as backasswards as it’s possible to get.

Just another hideously stupid act by the Obamanation and his cronies. “Let’s call the terrorism at Fort Hood workplace violence instead and thereby deny benefits to those harmed by it.” Just who does the fool in the White House think he is fooling?

Uhhh, Chip, you DO know the difference between murder and closing down the government to the tune of 24 Billion tax payer Dollars. I know you do. And in the terrorism column, that is a very poor likeness of Ted Cruz. But that’s your subtext, isn’t it?

Oh, for God’s sake! No one has ever accused anyone of being a terrorist—even metaphorically—for saying “Stop the health care train wreck.” No one has accused those who voted against the Affordable Care Act of being terrorists (even metaphorically) in virtue of that vote. People did use harsh words for those who were willing to bring the government to a halt, wasting billions of dollars, endangering the credit of the United State, and undermining the reputation of our nation in the eyes of the world to try to get, through such threats, what they couldn’t win through the regular political process either in Congress or at the ballot box.

Don’t try to portray such people as the loyal opposition just trying to make their case to the public. That doesn’t pass the smell test.

Why should there be greater compensation for those killed by “terrorism” than for those killed by “workplace violence”? You’re just as dead either way.
