The calligraphers have been positions on staff for over a century; they prepare official documents of state. Imagine how many Republican lawmakers would squawk if some of their pomp and circumstance were stripped.

How about nixing some of Michelle Obama’s staff to more reasonable levels? Should save that much if not more….

Perspective: That’s the cost of just four “Hellfire” missiles, now being used to replace a $5 bullet. Or equal to the cost of one U-2 flight or fuel for an Air Force “training flight”. Care to compare it to the annual subsidy for your average tobacco farmer??

And the republicans expect the children to earn the money by performing janitorial service at less than minimum wage at their school replacing the adult staff, thus saving the taxpayers money on salaries. And then denying the adult staff laid off any type of unemployment benefits while the “job creators” hide their money overseas.

Many, many other things to cut! Why send $29 million to Morocco to “teach” them to make pottery? They’ve been doing it for 2000 years without help from us. If I was Morocco, I would be insulted! Of course, they’ll spend the money on something else, like a vacation for their ruler! And by all means, let’s keep sending millions upon millions to countries who hate us – Egypt, Syria, Pakistan; Hell, the entire Middle East. We even send foreign aid to China, for Heaven’s sake. Let’s see, we borrow $ from China so we can give it back to China in for form of foreign aid. Does this sound STUPID to anyone else, or is it just me?

^ No, it’s just you.
Everyone else knows we sent taxpayers’ money to Third World countries so they can turn around and buy guns from American armament companies and rich American investors can make a killing.
You’re just one of those anti-free enterprize liberals, aren’t you?
