"Chip" Bok has been the staff editorial cartoonist for the Akron Beacon Journal since 1987. Through Creators Syndicate, his cartoons appear in over 100 publications, including the Chicago Tribune, Washington Post, New York Times, Los Angeles Times, Time, and Newsweek. HA HA….I have 3 families in my close family group, who have gone to Florida to escape our cold state, and I am sure they did not pack shovels and blankets to take with them!

People here tell me it snowed in 1977, but that was before I moved.
The forecast was for 78 degrees today but I think they missed by a half dozen.

Probably not, but I bet they took jackets. The wind here isn’t as bad as up there, but it’s still enough to warrant wearing one.

@Rockngolfer – that was the year we students in the Keys got a “cold day”; the temps went down to 28F, which is unheard-of that far south.
Ah, the golden days of Youth…. ; >
Now, anything below 74F, to me, is freezing. I’m glad I live in a warm condo!
