Who took the blame for the FIRST 9/11? I don’t remember anyone pointing fingers back then…. just let’s get the SOBs responsible…. got to make political hey, drag that old red herring out to cover up my parties screw ups.

Terroists blow up the towers – it’s the terrorists; fault.
Terrorists blow up Benghazi – it’s Clinton’s fault.

The issue here is there was no evidence that the video had anything to do with Benghazi but yet for four weeks that is all we heard from the administration. Only under extreme pressure and evidence did they change their tune and say it was a terrorist act. So either they are very inadequate at their job or were lying from the beginning to help Obama not appear weak before the election.

I hate it when people spend all their time trying to find some one or something to blame.
.
That doesn’t mean you should never try to find who is to blame. That does not mean that if you blame me for something that isn’t my fault I won’t deflect that charge.
.
But it does mean that in the heat of the crises, the objective is finding the process to bring an end to the crises. Then you can go back and determine what caused the crises in the first place.
.
BTW, the stoopid “film” was still integral to the problem in that it was used to create cover for the invasion.
.
And I have yet to hear from anyone, what the proper number of soldiers should have been. If there were fifty more marines would the number of dead been higher? Would that have been “OK” because at least we gave them a fight and at least some survived? And what if it meant 54 dead instead of 4… What then?

John McCain really is the poster boy for so many neo cons: old, white, angry and irrational. Totally convinced there has got to be a scandal here that will stick (for political advantage) even as the grown ups in the room go about the business of a) taking responsibility (which she did), and b) identifying the problems and fixing them (except for the ones that require money blocked by GOP congressmen).

5,000 dead in Iraq, four at Benghazi, and she said, the real issue is what do we do to make sure it doesn’t happen again, yes, I agree with her, but with morons that even Bobby Jindal now recognizes as “the stupid party”, where DO we go from here?

@MortyForTyrant
President Obama, quotes from different speeches after the attack:
“AL Qaeda has been decimated.”
“AL Qaeda is on the run.”
“Al Qaeda is on the run. That group of terrorists who attacked our country is slowly, but surely being decimated. Right now, about half of all the top al Qaeda operatives are either jailed or dead. In either case, they’re not a problem anymore.”
.
Hillary at her testimony: "We now face a spreading jihadist threat. We have to recognize this is a global movement.”

@DrCanuck
Well which is it??
Clinton’s fault, the terrorists’ fault, or a video maker’s fault?
.
All she had to do is come out the next day and tell us the truth. Over 4 months later she comes and manages to evade answering 3 important questions.
And still lying after all these months.

So, all those hours of testimony and you still can’t tell the difference between bureaucratic snafu (confessed to, heads taken for) and a purposeful lie (weapons of mass destruction, thousands dead)??
And can we get Condi Rice up there to talk about the warnings prior to 9/11?
