Isn’t it nice to live in a country with collective Attention Deficit Disease? Anybody still talking about the Debt Ceiling or the Sequester? No? Mission Accomplished…

Why else do you think the Politico’s fawn over the Hollywood-istas. They know just WHO it is that keeps the “Sheeple” distracted enough to let them get-away with all the BS they pass off as “Legislation”!

@MortyForTyrant
Actually, since Congress is NOT currently in session, and screwing the American People, that gives us a chance to watch something else, until Congress reconvenes, and the screwing begins anew!

So what if Oprah is challenged with weight issues. That’s a tiny fish compared with the big whopper of how Lance Armstrong not only cheated, but destroyed the livelihoods and careers of those around him.

Well, Lance never lies to steal the spotlight!

Boy oh boy! Imagine this: you are the system administrator of a 24/7 company and at 3am all your servers show overload that will crash them by 8am. Your boss calls you, but you say that you’re “not in session”. You would subsequently meet a lot of new people – in the unemployed line…
-
In other words: why is it that these bozos can fly out at 3pm on Thursday and not return before 10am on Monday? Why is it that they can make their own holidays (Jon Stewart said “Even I work on Rosh Hashanha!”)? Why is it that they can say when and when not they will be on vacation (yeah, OK, they have to shake a few hands, but they get checks for it, right?).
-
And more importantly: why is it that these people can determine what is important enough to warrant action and what’s not. Remember the Terri Shiavo case? I believe Congress got called back for THAT! Now you are facing financial Armageddon and are talking about minting a $1,000,000,000,000 coin to avert it and NOBODY CARES because “Congress is not in session”. You will get us all killed, one way or another :-(

Not only all that, but they can vote to give themselves raises whenever they want, financial meltdown notwithstanding!

Since Armstrong obviously is done as an athlete, He should go to work on Wall Street. He has the resume for it.
