Well, thank god the Demos grew a pair and stood up to the Tea Party anarchists and their useful idiot leadership. Not all testosterone is bad. Still, I’ll be interested in watching future Chan Lowe cartoons as he takes up this new campaign to get more women elected.

In general, I agree with the point of view this cartoon states. More women legislators would probably inject a greater sense of civility back into Congress. On the other hand, there will always be female tea party morons like North Carolina’s Virginia Foxx, so it’s certainly not a simple fix.

Too much money. Too easy a job. Too much influence from outside. Too little accountability. Too good a job to get afterwards as a reward for pushing the country down skid row. Too little courage and honor. Too sad to watch…

    .
That’s right, and no doubt the Republicans, in states where they still hold legislative and gubernatorial majorities, will follow the lead of Texas, which has taken steps to disenfranchise female voters.
    .
Their voter ID law requires voters to have up-to-date legal name. Women must show original documents, along with both a birth certificate and proof of marriage, divorce decree, or court-ordered changes. Photocopies ain’t good enough. This “law” could disenfranchise up to 40% of women voters.
