Saw a news report yesterday about the exchange in my state. It said you could get rate information on the official page and I thought “Finally! They’ve got it updated!”
    .
No, they don’t. Just a lazy reporter accepting what the government flack told him without bothering to surf up there and see if it was true.

In FL, I reluctantly voted for Bill Nelson, but certainly not Rick Scott, Pam Bondi, Marco Rubio, or any of the other useless idiots running the state.

“Incumbents are in trouble all over, and since Congress has done nothing to actually help people…….”
“Not looking good for either party.”

It is my hope that more people realize these facts, and vote out the incumbents. We can’t do worse, and if we did a wholesale clean-out, a clear message will be sent: Do your job or you will be replaced. Dare to dream.

Ignorance & stupidity reign supreme on talk & FOX (GOP’s fantasy, lies & propaganda network).

It’s too late now, but our nation is getting a product that has flaws that could have only been eliminated by the dems and repubs working together in good faith However, both parties would rather drag our nation through mud and sewage rather than see their opponent show any success of any sort.
The ACA is helping people and needs to be repaired and improved, not removed. It would also be nice were the house to actually show some of that laser focus on job creation they were promising in 2010 and 2012.
    Respectfully,
    C.

Bachelor of Science? Any other obvious answer requires more than two letters. As was said in H. Beam Piper’s Space Vikings… Don’t tell a man he’s stupid, ask him what he means.
I have to agree with PAJ’s reply to me, even the part about Mr. Obama’s inability to pull a Reagan or a Clinton and get out in front of the legislature to cajol, embarrass, and generally make them look worse to the American public in order to get them to do something, even if its wrong and has to be redone by the next administration. PAJ may not agree with the “even if it’s wrong” part, but Mr. Obama needs to leave his comfort zone and do some daily town halls in DC until the American people know what the hell is going on. As it stands, we’re confused, standing around staring at each other and arguing. That’s not an electorate, that’s a mob.
    Respectfully,
    C.

You know that Florida passed a law making it illegal for navigators to advise people about the Affordable Care Act on hospital grounds? In other words, carrying out the Federal law of the land, supported by a majority of Americans is illegal.

There’s no way Obama or the Dems CAN figure out Obamacare. They’re too busy constantly changing things around.
    http://m.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/sep/11/study-obamacare-has-been-amended-delayed-19-times/

Even Sen. Max Baucus (D) calls it a train wreck.
    Obamacare has to go!

I agree with you, Ahab. I just didn’t understand why PAJ gets the blame. There are some well stated folks who point out the deficiencies in the ACA and I’ve written ad nauseum about my own concerns, but just because the horse can’t carry the weight you want it to, doesn’t mean you should shoot it. As long as it takes up some of the load, it still has purpose.
As far as the space program goes, maybe it wasn’t started by Republicans, but I feel NASA’s losses had a lot to do with conservative penny pinching combined with Dem throwing a too small pool of money at too many needs without making certain the money wasn’t being wasted.
The parties doing their donors’ bidding.
You’re usually more patient with folks, Ahab, so I was a little surprised.
    Take care.
    Sincerely,
    C.

Florida is weird in a lot of ways.
One mistake I made two years ago was paying my $35 copays at the doctor’s office in cash. Now they are telling me I owe $35 and I need to find old receipts to prove that I paid.

Google “ACA POLL” for your choice of polls and breakdown among various classifications. Overall a few percentage points above unfavorable, but a consistent, whopping percent of “Not Sure”. Most of the Unfavorable are Republican, of course (and the favorable is huge among Democrats and Independents). But I predict the polls will change over the next few months (especially during the implementation of exchanges), as it becomes apparent that the “abomination” proclaimed by the right wing and their corporate sponsors fails their dire predictions.

By the way, the point of the cartoon is that people will discover that they like “Obamacare” after it’s implemented – which scares the hell outta the Republicans.
