    So Lindsay Graham will break the Pledge, but ‘only for the good of the country’.
    Silly me. All this time I thought our elected officials were supposed to act for the good of the country all the time.
    I wonder how the people of South Carolina feel now that Graham has admitted that he has NOT been working for the good of the country, but rather for the good of Grover Norquist and the people he represents.

    We’ve been down this road way to often. We want to actually see the compromise, not hear the assurances that there might be one if we liberals give the GOP an arm and a leg in return.


    Latest example: John Boehner is threatening to not raise the debt ceiling – again! You guys never learn, do you? At what point in the U.S. declining credit-rating will you understand that simply careless talk can sink your nation? In WW2 the GOP would have been put against the nearest wall and shot as traitors and agents of the Third Reich…
