    yes and no. He’s weird, but he’ll call 911 and do what he can.

    For comparison, a friend was smacked by a hit and run and all the witnesses just drove away. “Didn’t want to be involved.” (Bend is almost exclusively people from Frisco and LA now). Drugs t o do and parties to go to, apparently.

    I don’t worry about people like Michael who are weird in a harmless way. (My former neighbor was a lot like him. Autism, I think. Decent guy. just a little off. His wife and kids were normal. Gave him a grounding in our culture, so to speak.) I worry about the flakes that make up so much of our culture today.

    It’s so flakey in this area that I recommended Dionysus for statues at each of the major highways entering the city. With all that goes with Dionysus, from wine to orgies to the theater. (Bend has had them all for at least 20 years.) I don’t even recognize the town now, what with the rich idiots and party animals that “transformed it.”

    It’s all falling apart now. When the housing market crashed, that cut a large part of the revenue of the area. When the rich idiots decided it wasn’t the “IN” place anymore, that ended any reason for people moving here. Nothing like trying to build an economy on the vices…, er, “arts.”

    It is sad when people won’t even stop to help their fellow man. I volunteered to take first aid for my work so I would know what to do when I came across such situations.

    I agree with you that Michael will come through in this situation.

    I wish Michael had tried to stop her but he didn’t know she would fall and that would have just frightened Donna anyway. So the best he can do is call 911 and see how she is.
