    No, I think Lemont nailed.
We are a nation of outlaws.
    Always have been.
    Always will be.

Please don’t tase me, bro. I confess. I’m sorry. It’s true. I did rip that tag off that mattress. 8:^(

Fewer laws & ones that match true need would help. It’s virually Byzantine.
Look up Justian Law Reform. He addressed the literal “Byzantine” laws of the the Byzantine empire, from whence we get the virtual usage.

There’s no one left but thee and me
And i’m not sure of thee.

Apologies to somebody, maybe the late Nick Reynolds

My mom (born in 1904) used to say something like that a lot. Only in her version, everyone but thee and me was nuts.

Dang, Lemont would be a sure winner for President. He can ignore a big problem and give a speech with the best of them.

I think many of those he mentioned are “big” problems.

You DID mean that as a compliment, right?
    .
Lemont’s point is that we should distinguish the crime under consideration. Many people commit illegal acts. Not all illegal acts are created equal but some act as if simply being here is a great sin, so great that others are not even in the same ballpark.

Ever notice how the people who are most fanatical about securing the borders are descended from folks who arrived without permission, moved in, took the land and pretty much exterminated those who were there first? Must be experience talking…

It was in the news recently that “Happy Birthday”’s original copyright was ruled to be invalid and the song is no longer a copyrighted work.

One can have too many laws. Every law produces more criminals.

I have never heard ANY of those others referred to as “illegals”. Typical liberal trick to stretch a word to mean whatever they want.

    @Lamberger

No, they AREN’T called “illegals” and that was the point.
Many actions are illegal but we DON’T call their perpretators “illegal”.
Ponder why that is and you’ll find yourself transformed into a “typical liberal” like me ere you notice.
It’s like the light of the full moon on Lon Chaney.
