I would agree with Susan even if she were wrong
    but she’s right.
(Which I would say either way – that’s MY politics)

I beg to differ. Paul (TGESS) Ryan’s budget doesn’t use the math the rest of us use.

Very true – but Ryan Paul does not care. It has increased the general wealth for people like him and his cronies.

the simplest form of mathematics is that the national debt has increased without pause for decades and the rate of increase seems to be increasing something like exponentially. Even in the time of the so-called balanced budget, debt to social security was increasing as that money was spent elsewhere.

with any luck (yours mostly) I’ll be dead ere the collapse hits but if we don’t want a collapse, that curve needs to be bend downward. I don’t care if you do it with increased taxes or reduced growth of expenditures or cutting of expenditures or growth of the economy, somehing’s gotta give.

Trick conjugation. Politic, without the s isn’t a noun. You may have politics, but you don’t have “a politic.” If you politic it’s a verb. If something is or isn’t politic it’s an adjective. It depends on the rest of the sentence. Is politics a blood sport, or are politics blood sports? Too often, yes.

Mathematics is plural – algebra, geometry, etc. In Britain, you will hear it used that way: “maths teacher”, “I’m studying maths.”
