Geez, man, DON’T USE ANTIBIOTICS UNLESS YOU ACTUALLY NEED THEM! All you’re doing otherwise is breeding antibiotic-resistant bacteria.

Careful Lemont. If you don’t have insurance, the IRS will come after you, courtesy of Obamacare.

Actually, if your premiums would cost more than 8% of your income, you are exempt from the health care requirements. But then the far right doesn’t want folks to actually know that. Better to just scare folks.

Actually too, it’s not a good idea to hit the doctor just before your insurance runs out. What if they find you have something chronic like hypertension or diabetes? Now you have a pre-existing condition, making your premiums (at best) unaffordable or makes you (at worst) uninsurable.

This is why civilized countries have variations on single-payer systems – people just get the healthcare they need, minus the ballooning bureaucracies dedicated to denying coverage to as many as they can, and minus the very generous profits for insurers and private healthcare providers.

    Some do.
We may not be perfect, but we are civilized, so some don’t.
    -
Some simply have free health care and the village pays the Witch Doctor for his services.
    -
Which is not to say all such are backward, but they tend to not be very innovative.

I still want autodocs, where you step into the machine and it does a complete workup and fixes whatever ails you
