So how should people be introduced to Star Wars?

    A) In the order in which the films came out

    B) chronological order-prequels first.

    With the Holiday Special?

    With those shows?

The Holiday Special needs to wait until you are old enough to consume intoxicants.

Option A, most definitely. It would be too hard to fear Darth Vader when you’ve seen him as a six year old first.

How about starting with episodes #4 and #5 (i.e. the first two in the order that they were made and released), then after episode #5’s “I am your father” shock ending, do episodes #1, #2, and #3 as a flashback sequence before returning to finish with episode #6?

I saw them in order as they came out, when I have time I want to watch them in chronological order. Oh well, I’ll probably never have the time.

Poor Lemont— tonight’s fit is payback for trying to “terrorize” him with the carrot fairy tale at dinner!

Skip the prequels entirely. They ruined Star Wars for me, and I’m certain they would do the same for a kid.

The Prequels are great! I would have said start with them and follow in order, but reading Claia Bryja’s idea I think that would be a good way to go. I have watched and rewatched the entire story several times (both the originals and the remakes) I have to say I like the remakes much better and I really enjoy watching them in order, lets you understand the things that made Darth Vader who and what he was. PS I love the comic relief parts; the Droids, the Ewoks and Jar Jar, all really help make the films great. I have a bad feeling these remarks will cause hostility with some but I don’t care. I know what I like and ALL the Stars Wars are great entertainment.
