I think Lamont was hoping that he wouldn’t have to explain what terrorism is, and was using his son’s lisp as an excuse.

Terrorism is a practice of making large groups afraid by unspeakably cruel acts committed against randomly selected victims

… but not because of your pronunciation.
    .
No decent person understands terrorism in any form.

It’s a tactic. It uses seemingly random attacks on civilians and other non-combatants in an attempt to break down the “other” side’s morale. Generally, we only apply the term “terrorism” when it’s done by stateless actors such as Al Qaeda or individuals; when it’s done as an official government policy we like to dress it up with names like “the Blitz,” “strategic air power,” or “shock and awe” (all of which are no doubt trademarked).

Terrorism is indiscriminate killing to advance an agenda; simple. whoever does it. Islam. Irish, South American rebels, etc.

I didn’t figure it out till I read the comments. He’s saying “terrorist”. What’s D’oh mean? I think I would say uh-oh. He doesn’t want to explain terrorist. I also thought maybe he didn’t want to put a label on the the child’s speech problem.

No parent enjoys having to field a child’s questions about hard-to-explain-realities. Lemont is a stand-in for the rest of us and the torn feelings we have re knowing what’s too much and what’s too little for a still innocent child. Thanks for helping me break it down…

I could not understand that last word. But I could understand his accusation statement.
