People vote for Republicans because they don’t want to lose their view of “the happy people”.

You can’t seriously be trying to apply a ‘happy’ label to Democrats? The only people that seem to be happy in general are people in the middle or leaning right. If you want to get technical it would be leaning NE. Extremists on either end tend to be angry at life and constantly looking for change because they are unhappy with the status quo, even when things seem to be going their way.

10% more Americans consider themselves to be Democrats than Republicans. And on almost every major issue from contraceptives to climate change to taxes, Democrats are in “the middle” because the overwhelming majority of Americans agree with the Democratic positions. So if you’re implying that “Democrats” are the same thing as “extremists,” that makes YOU an extremist.

“In the middle” as you used the term has nothing to do with the typical connotation. I’m sure you know I meant middle of the political compass so not sure what you are getting at with your comment. I also said nothing about who agrees or disagrees with various political topics and my comment was based purely on general emotional attitudes that I have witnessed over the past decade or so. You can agree or disagree with that opinion, but how that makes me an extremist is beyond me. I in no way was implying Dems are all extremists and my comment indicated that extremist on the right are also not generally ‘happy’ in my experience.

Just because a majority of idiots agree with you, does not mean that your beliefs are correct.
