Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

once saw a cloud formation that actually looked like a map of North America. I could actually see Greenland attached to it.

Are you sure it wasn’t a mirage?

The cloud I’m looking at looks like the perpetuation of my youth.
(which is why I keep re-reading these every day…)

It’s claimed that the straights of messina can “magnify” the apparent size of mt. etna.
.
When I was in Klamath Falls, we frequently could see Mt. Shasta, despite a range of hills and a range of mountains between us and it. The Klamath Hills were 5000+, Mt. Hebron summit on the highway through the Cascades was 5202 feet. There were a number of mountains of 6000 and greater in a knot of mountains as part of the Cascades to the south of Klamath Falls. (The Goosenest was nearly 8300). Some type of lensing effect of the atmosphere because Shasta was was visible some days and other days it couldn’t be seen.
