Bill Watterson's Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Calvin’s doing much better with this than I thought he would. Poor Mom, no wonder she is sometimes cranky.

“Tigers are very comforting.”
Wouldn’t that depend on the tiger….

Totally with you on the snoring, Calvin. The night before my wedding, all my groomsmen crashed at my apt., and one of them snored so loudly that I had to go down to my car to get a few zzzzz’s.
Good thing I didn’t have to drive to Oregon the next day for our honeymoon … oh, wait.
Also, it’s time to play BASH THE SPAMMER!!!

Poor Calvin. He needs Hobbes for secure comfort.

Well, Calvin, the snoring/trucks downshifting sounds just like the waves crashing in the Atlantic last week. We were at the hotel in KittyHawk, NC, and it was my first experience with a storm at sea, and the waves were super large. The sound came through the hotel door/windows all night long. It really was soothing, once you got used to it.

One of the funniest lines from Calvin’s lips, ever. Also one of the most insulting. Yep, that’s our little ENFP in training.
This past afternoon I was browsing through one of the Calvin and Hobbes collections at Borders Books and found out what happened when Calvin brought Hobbes to the playground to deal with Moe. One of the most satisfying arcs ever. So you could say I’m pretty content today.

nothing is more comforting than something familiar, and Hobbes has been a constant in Calvin’s life as long as he can remember.

Just what a father needs. A sarcastic wife and an insulting kid to go along with.

Montana Lady: For four winters growing-up we took a vacation to Virginia Beach and I had the best sleep there ever, listening to the sounds of the ocean at night. We used to wake to the sounds of seagulls every morning. It was always hard after two weeks of bliss to drive back home to the cold northeast’s winter weather again! After I got married my husband bought me a wave machine to help simulate the soothing, crashing waves, I remembered from back then.
