Bill Watterson’s Calvin and Hobbes has been a worldwide favorite since its introduction in 1985. The strip follows the richly imaginative adventures of Calvin and his trusty tiger, Hobbes. Whether a poignant look at serious family issues or a round of time-travel (with the aid of a well-labeled cardboard box), Calvin and Hobbes will astound and delight you.

Mom ought to climb right into the tub with Calvin. She looks pretty soaked. Calvin, it would indeed be a joy to have a son with such an imagination, Oh, heh, heh, and a wife who would deal with him. Me, no, I’m to busy. Oh dear, Calvin is calling. Oh dear!

LOL, the last panel. Mom’s more wet that Calvin!

Wow! Looks like both mom and Calvin are washed clean,+ does this mean that mom and dad are going out, which also means that Rosalyn babysits again. Uh oh! Calvin this could be a long night.

I’m sympathizing with Mom on this one. My two-year old gives me the same treatment when it comes to washing hair.

This is exactly why my mom never made me take a bath when I was a kid.
Thanks and Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!

Giving Calvin a bath is like giving a cat a bath. Thrash, squirm, yammermeow that you’re being murdered! But after the bath is over and the cat is dry it preens like a queen.

NOT SO MUCH - I STILL HAVE A SCAR ON MY ARM FROM TRYING TO GIVE MY CAT A BATH 10 YEARS AGO I DON’T THINK CALVIN WOULD SCRATCH THAT BADLY

Why give a cat a bath? They keep themselves clean.

Gee, and we wasted all that time waterboarding terror suspects.

Probably. Grew up taking our weekly baths in a few inches of warmish water in a galvinized wash tub. Parents first, kids last.
Count your blessings Calvin.

Now, this takes me back to days when the kids were young, and we had two dogs running around the house.

My mom had this problem times 4 or 5, several times over the years. So she took the easy way out: got us all in the back yard and hosed us down every three or four weeks.
Not really!
Happy Mother’s Day, Mom!!

I have heard that to wash a kid’s hair, you should tilt their head backwards, so that when you rinse, the water doesn’t go into their face. (Implying that therefore the soap won’t get in their eyes.)
