   Actually, what the Declaration says is “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among these are Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness.”

   It took awhile for the mere mortals in America to realize these lofty ideas – in fact we’re still working on it – but those are the principles this country was built on.

   Don’t believe everything people tell you, do some reading on your own.
