From the placing of the shadows, and assuming the general time is actually today, then we know that those islands are somewhere north of the Tropic of Capricorn but below the Equator, East is to our right and it’s afternoon. If the time is sometime before the fall equinox, then we are south of the Tropic of Cancer, but above the Equator and we are facing South, and East is to our left and it is again, afternoon.

Why couldn’t the colourists at least colour the sky a different shade of blue?

Are you sure one of you guys didn’t import fleas to the island? I doubt it would be so different from its jumping-distance neighbors….

In a few days those beetles will be tasty treats.

    a) No bark beetles on palm trees
    b) Bark beetles only eat plant material

I’’l take your word for that, but judging by the style of those palm trees, I’m thinking they might be in the ares of the Caribbean.

Naw, they are on the Tropic of Imagination. It exists any place with water large enough to float a cartoonists boat and will have
    1. Palm trees
    2. Variable times of day and indeterminate shadows.
    3. Flora and fauna that break all the rules of nature as long as its remotely funny.
So, just don’t question it, sit back and enjoy.

The best thing about bark beetles? Their bark is worse than their bite!
