It’s rough when your brew criticizes you…

    Good morning, LB.

    Now her makeup is ruined.

MARG1 Does it cool off enough at night so you
can shut your air conditioner off for a while?

Just what is in that brew, besides your reflection, Broomster?

Will Broomie try next to see if she can see her reflection in an UNFLUSHED TOILET?

From “The Court Jester” with Danny Kaye:
    .
Hawkins: I’ve got it! I’ve got it! The pellet with the poison’s in the vessel with the pestle; the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true! Right?

Griselda: Right. But there’s been a change: they broke the chalice from the palace!

Hawkins: They broke the chalice from the palace?

Griselda: And replaced it with a flagon.

    Hawkins: A flagon…?

Griselda: With the figure of a dragon.

    Hawkins: Flagon with a dragon.

    Griselda: Right.

Hawkins: But did you put the pellet with the poison in the vessel with the pestle?

Griselda: No! The pellet with the poison’s in the flagon with the dragon! The vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true!

Hawkins: The pellet with the poison’s in the flagon with the dragon; the vessel with the pestle has the brew that is true.

    Griselda: Just remember that.

Griselda: [Correcting Hawkins’ recitation of the directions about the drinks] No! The pellet with the poison’s in the vessel with the pestle…

Jean: …the chalice from the palace has the brew that is true. Even I can say it!

    Hawkins: Then YOU fight him!

Hah! I was thinking of this scene too after reading today’s strip.
Great minds think alike, and so do we. ;-)

Google. At first, I just remembered “brew that is true” from the scene. It’s actually funnier that what I posted because the bit where Kaye is trying to say it right but keeps getting it more and more wrong is not there.

Wow. I thought it hitting 90 in the Bay Area was bad.

Aye unlike magic mirrors that will lie or ELSE, reflections usually tell the truth;unkind though it may be.
