MARG1 Suppose to get down to 45 here this morning.
Might have to turn the furnace on even though it’s now
    June.

Re yesterday: Very few tornadoes, but we do get dust devils, which are like mini tornadoes.

We got down to 40 here in SE MI. Furnace is on. Had to haul house plants in, again. The potted tomatoes and basil, too. Supposed to be as cold tonight, so they can all stay indoors for the day. Wish night temps would stay in the 50s so I could stop doing this.

If he picked up the check, it was a date.

Dust devils can form on a clear day, unlike tornadoes. And they can hurt when you run into one, or it runs into you. They pick up sand and small gravel, I remember getting pelted as a kid when I was out in the prairie outside Odessa, Tx. All paved over now I suspect.

I was attacked by a dust devil long ago when I lived in Nevada. Was driving south on US 395 toward Carson City. I saw it coming but didn’t think much of i until it hit me! Scary! Very scary!!! Fortunately it didn’t last long.

Yes, they just suddenly appear. If we see one coming, we make sure to close the car windows! They can knock things over, too, like gas grills.
