Living in an enchanted forest with surrealistic landscapes, the engaging characters of Broom Hilda happily have no connection with reality. Other comic characters are extensions or distortions of reality, but Broom Hilda deals in pure fantasy, making the strip bewitchingly unique. Here in the forest, the inhabitants maintain a standard of madness where total irrelevance is the only relevancy. The strip is simply a loony-bin where what’s said and done often makes no sense whatsoever, much to the joy of its millions of fans.

@William Pursell
Cartoon metaphysics states that any possibility is a probability, as long as it’s funny

Actually horoscopes can never be correct because the real constellations don’t line up with astrological constellations. They did thousands of years ago but when the spiritualists in Victorian England got into astrology they didn’t change the arrangement. The alignment of the pole moves over thousands of years so the time frame for the constellations moves as well. Spoken like a true Gemini .. ;-)

Never believed in them…still don’t…never will….but I had an instance similar to Broomie’s….had to sign the radio station on…had to be there at 5:15AM…was reading the “horror-scope”…said to begin my day early today!!
How could they be right for ALL the people with that birthday? Naaah….

I read the horoscopes just to see what little gems of wisdom are written there like “use caution when travelling” or “check out the information given you” which is something we all should use.
