    No, of thee I sing on the cup-cake.

    I had to look up icing in hocky to be sure I understood. Usually regret it when I comment on a sports themed comic. :)

    Back in kindergarten, when I first heard “My country ’Tis of Thee” I thought it was a song about liberty and icing.

    Briatollah…. at that age my brother asked me seriously what “dondering” meant….
    and I had no idea what a “rampard” was, myself.
    I thought of maybe shepherds watching o’er a flock of some sort of wooly animal.

    Beviek…. I looked it up but I still don’t understand.
    The Wikipedia page was so convoluted I decided I don’t care, cos hey, I’ll never watch a hockey game anyway.

    Um…. I mean… sorry, all you Canadians and Sharks fans and stuff.

    Don’t feel sorry because you are not a hockey fan. IMO they haven’t played hockey since they allowed the curved bladed stick.

    Wait, ice hockey is a sport now?

    susan, the rule is that you can’t just shoot the puck the full distance if the ice. I think if the puck travels over all three lines on the rink, it’s called icing. There may be more details….it’s not really a penalty, but the puck gets dropped for a face of near the opponents goal, which give them an advantage… As Red Green says…“Keep your stick on the ice….” And I say, no checking!…in the hotel…..

    @BRI-NO-MITE!!

    With the fights breaking out I thought the game was called “eye socky”.

    “I’m a man…. But I can change…. If I have to…. I guess.
    @Susan Sunshine: In one of the old Beverly Cleary books Ramona thought a “dawnzer” was a kind of lamp that gave off “lee” light.

    I knew what the term meant, but I still think it is absurd since the puck is kept in a freezer before the game, and is already iced.

    I was NEVER a Ramona fan (she spoiled Henry Huggins for me….) but I always like “Motorcycle Mouse” and “Runaway Ralph”. And I personally recite the “Man’s Prayer” every night (that my gf lets me……….)
