Contrary to popular belief, turtles aren’t as slow paced as they say. They can travel about 10 miles per hour.

Re: Turtles travel about 10 miles per hour.

Since a reasonable pace for cross-country hiking is 3 to 4 miles per hour, and 10 mph would be a good pace for an amateur marathon runner, I find your claim hard to believe. Do you have any references?
