    Surely it’s not that simple. There is a long calculation, in which there are many deductions from the price, but ultimately the deductions all disappear and the price is grossed up.

    Infernal Revenue Service, as it was called on an episode of “The Beverly Hillbillies.” They also incorrectly referred to IRS agents as “revenuers.”
    “Revenuers” are actually ATF agents.
