“Besides, who needs full-time employment anyway? It would just mean the identity thieves who exploit the lack of security on healthcare.gov will have that much more to steal.”

You mean, unlike the fake health care you had before that only covered office visits and wouldn’t pay anything for actual procedures or hospitalization? That is, the policies you’re so angry that you didn’t get to keep because they were outlawed as deceptive? Yeah, those were great when you got sick.

The Leftist racket for over a century has been to interfere in some industry, wait for problems to emerge, and then use that as the excuse for the next round of interference. Lather, rinse, repeat. Government grows and grows, with no limit in sight (least of all in the Constitution).

Health care in America has been crippled since WWII by a mountain of tax and regulatory interferences, but rather than undoing the burdens and intrusions, Obamacare is the Lefties’ answer, piling on an even larger heap of the same.

By forcing private companies to provide insurance by government decree, when the scheme falls apart the insurance companies will take the blame (the greedy bastards!). This will provide the excuse for a total government takeover of healthcare, which was the Lefties’ goal all along (and for over a century).

If you think that would be a good thing, you are not part of the problem; you ARE the problem.

During my working years my wife had an appendectomy and back surgery. The insurance we had worked just fine.

    pschearer.

You really need to get that so-called brain inspected for defects.

We are a wealthy society, our problem is that we have permitted our organizations to be taken over by people who’s personal greed for material goods and power over others is unlimited, and whose empathy for other humans or any other life form is negligible.

Healthcare insurance companies have killed people rather than take any action to cure them.

These companies routinely hide their errors, delay payouts until it is far too late, and refuse to insure anyone who might actually need help.

Healthcare before WWI was largely useless, often killing people who would have survived without ‘help.’

The conservative answer to healthcare "live or die o your own sucka,’ admits not responsibility of those who have wealthy to repay any of that advantage to the society…to which we all owe nearly everything!

No one does everything ‘on their own’ everyone gets the advantage of millennia of human experience.

Worse, the vast majority of huge piles of wealth have been obtained via unethical means. The only work most of these people have done is to steal successfully from people poorer than themselves. Those who inherited have done even less.

Government is to serve the entire People, not the wealthy. It cannot do that without providing services to those less fortunate.

A People who would let others suffer and die when they hold the keys to prevent it are not worth saving.

Allowing people to suffer and die when you can prevent it, is as bad as any murder.

You sir, need to reconsider the line of thought you have bought into, for it is faulty at it’s core.

Conservatives like to say that ‘charity’ should take care of the poor, not government. And yet, when we ran things like that, it was quite obvious that the ‘charity’ provided by those with resources was insufficient to provide for the needs.

Show me a fortune made completely ethically, and who’s owners actually repay some of their debt to the society. You can’t.

Today, large corporations have control of governments, and this has permitted them to ‘legalize’ most of their thefts of public resources.

We can provide for everyone, and no one of the wealthy need suffer.

Our social structure assumes that we are playing a zero-sum game (I win, you lose. You win, I lose.)
    .
But this is no longer true. We have no energy ‘shortage’ though we have a shortage of generation capacity. Solar and other renewable source have assured that.

So long as we have energy, nearly all other problems are not difficult. We have far more energy than we need, and it’s only 22,000 miles above our heads, available to us for the price of building the equipment to collect it.

Government providing services can be better or worse than private providers, but without major regulation and oversight, pure capitalism (which, by the way, is NOT part of the design of the USA,) becomes a major threat to society as a whole.

This isn’t conjecture, it is fact, proven time and again for centuries.

Note that the government/society is hardly run by ‘Lefties’ but by conservatives who owe their allegiance to the wealthy.

It is not the liberals who have plotted to control society, it is the selfish conservatives who have largely made their fortunes through unethical (if legal) methods, often by creating government regulations to permit them to purchase resources owned by the People at fire sale prices in order to sell them back to the people at huge profits.

Oh, and the whole ‘Left vs. Right’ thing is a fiction. Politics is not binary, it is analog, with billions of shades.

Anyone who assumes that our choices are between liberal and conservative is a dupe.

Great entrepreneurs are unfairly dumped on—-they create the jobs, they are the heart and soul of capitalism, they are America’s success stories…unfortunately they seem to be the enemy of the progressive left. The Prez must vilify them win elections.
On Obamacare—-the good doctor is being driven out of practice.

No, you still have to pay overpriced rates, lose your doctor, and carry coverage to don’t need under Obamanationcare.

I agree, they are the problem. But don’t worry too much, I doubt many actually took the time to read Chuck’s lengthy declaration past the first sentence (if even that much.)
