    Of course no one asked the ones that couldn’t afford health insurance.

    When you say everyone you’re talking about the ones that have health insurance and the ones that can afford to pay the exorbitant costs themselves. That isn’t quite everyone.

    The Republicans want to get rid of it because they know it will be a success. If they knew it would fail, they’d let it pass, and when the excrement is finished hitting the rotary air circulation device, they could say “See, we TOLD you it wouldn’t work” and be in a position to win both the Senate, House, and the White House.

    Actually, it is because they know it won’t work and because they love their country that they want to prevent Obamacare from killing jobs, people, and freedom.

    @common sanse

    When they say everyone, they mean everyone who has an IQ with three digits who despise government infringing on the right of people to decide things for themselves.

    @randayn. That#s the problem with you lot. Any change at all and you go apesh*t. The world has changed since 1800. Get over it!

    Actually, California started implementing many of the ACA’s provisions ahead of the rest of the country, and it seems to be working well. Massachusetts has had Romneycare for many years now – upon which Obamacare is based – and it’s working well. ACA would have been much better than it is, but GOP kept trying to gut it. The problem is, the GOP wants a purely for-profit solution with no regulation. And history has repeatedly shown that the private/corporate sector can not be trusted to look out for the interests of anyone but themselves. Want to help our health system? Go back to purely not-for-profit insurance companies. They propensity for sucking us dry might be moderated somewhat.

    It doesn’t matter whether ObamaCare succeeds or not because either way the Left’s ultimate goal is “single payer”, a euphemism for socialized medicine, their dream for over a century.

    We have “not for profit” hospitals here (Florida). That term is a joke, but not so funny when the bill comes.

    It is obvious that you do not understand “Obamacare”, or the issues with our healthcare system. It is sad to see you spout such partisan rhetoric that is more than misguided. If you really cared about this country and the ideals that it is based upon, you would refrain from mindlessly repeating these lies. You would turn off the hate radio and FOX news. I will give you a hint, if an organization insults and ridicules their perceived opponents they are dishonest and they disrespect you and this country.

    If you already have health insurance, it doesn’t apply to you.
    Obamacare is for people that don’t have insurance or can’t get it because of pre-existing conditions.
